Katy by Zoya
Sunny skies and flip-flop weather has finally graced us where the grass is really greener! This is the perfect pop of color to complete any fun Spring look. Fine, fresh, fierce, Katy has it on lock. Bright enough for anyone to do a double-take, this color is perfect for laying under the palm trees or pairing with daisy dukes and… I’ll stop now.

Erika by Zoya
I always feel like I’m raving about the perfect pink, so I won’t use that appellation with Erika, lest I strip all meaning away from the concept of perfection. But there is something about Erika which makes it come wonderfully close. The delicate cotton-candy hue and brilliant gold shimmer flatter most skin types, adding a dash of feminine class while remaining unobtrusive at the same time. Though it’s a sheer color, three coats is sufficient—four wouldn’t hurt if you want absolutely zero VPL.

Tiffany by Zoya

Happy Valentine’s/Singles Awareness Day!  Whether you’re celebrating today with the traditional flowers and chocolate or just catching up on homework, Tiffany is the perfect color.  Its mix of pink and gold glitter radiates in sunlight and indoors.  What I really love about Tiffany is that, as a creme, it would actually be a very subtle color, but the glitter really makes it pop.  This is definitely a color I will wear again and again.

Sweet Chiffon by L’Oreal

Aptly named, Sweet Chiffon is indeed as dainty and delicate as its name suggests. This peachy-pink nude has a faint shimmer, but appears creamy on the nail for the most part. Although there may be some who would argue that this is a perfect polish for a romantic Valentine’s Day date, I would disagree. I like the color, but it’s almost too saccharine for my taste and it hardly makes my heart flutter. That said, it is cute and appropriately girlishly coy for the holiday if that is indeed your cup of tea.

Oxygen by China Glaze

The name might suggest pure white, but in fact Oxygen is the palest pink creme imaginable. It does pass for white at first (and maybe even second) glance, but even the most casual observer would say this was off-white rather than stark white. I’m wearing three coats, and it was a little translucent even then. The friend whom I borrowed this from describes it as the perfect neutral, but one of my fellow En Couleur bloggers characterized it as “cataract-like,” which was more applicable before I’d finished all three coats. Oxygen grew on me, but what I’ve noticed about these pale colors is that it quickly becomes very obvious at the base of your nail if you didn’t paint all the layers exactly on top of each other.

Happi by Zoya
The Zoya giveaway is still running, so in the interest of promoting consumer knowledge, we continue our Zoya posts with Happi, a duochrome from the Spring 2010 Reverie collection. Flashes of gold shimmer enliven this metallic bubble gum pink polish, making this color a bold complement to  your flirtiest ensemble. Happi may not be for everyone—it is youthful, girly, and loud. But if that sounds like your cup of tea, Happi might just make your day.

Meadow by Zoya

This is a lovely antique rose with barely there gold shimmer. Should you be looking for that ‘perfect pink’ out there, this may well be where your search ends. Meadow will take you from work to date night and, what I find quite appealing, keep you looking young without making you look childish. One issue with finding the right pink is that too bright a pink recalls memories of being a wild teenager (which is fine sometimes), too frosty a pink will elicit memories of your grandmother (also fine sometimes), and too pale a pink can look too girlish. Meadow is appropriately named- it brings to mind a young woman strolling through a field of flowers in the French countryside. Another plus? Unlike many pinks, Meadow was practically opaque with only one coat!
